A COUPLE PEEKS AT MY COSTUME COLLEGE WARDROBE

I don’t really want to show my finished outfits yet because I want them to be a surprise. But I decided some little peeks at them wouldn’t hurt anything. Yes, there will be tiaras.

To make it easy on myself this year, I put together 3 Regency outfits to wear; 2 for daytime, and 1 for the Friday Night Social. I call these easy because I’d already made the patterns before, and they still fit, and there’s not a lot of fitting required. One of the white dresses will be worn with both daytime outfits. These are 1795 open robes, which themselves are also fairly easy to sew. Doing them on an assembly line by sewing up all the skirts, then the bodices, and then doing the final finishes on each went rather quickly.

See? Just a peek. I’m working on the accessories right now.

I spent more time on my 1837 court dress for the Royal Coronation Ball. And I kid you not, I’ve been having a lot of fun with it, as complicated as it was. I’m bringing out all the bling and glitz for this. I *think* I’m finally done with it.

And, of course, I have to have a fancy headdress.
So that’s it. A sneak peek. Two more weeks and I’ll be at Costume College and be all blinged out. Stay tuned.
